"27/11/2022 Sunday morning walk with Susan. Forgot to start tracking again after coffee stop on Fairfield so apologies for lack of track after that! Total time today 3hrs 30minutes. Weather cloudy with a little sun and a very brief shower. Descended from Seat Sandal via the south ridge above Little Tongue Gill - very pleasant way down." — johnandsue4fun • Nov 27, 2022

"From Patterdale, we climbed up Birks, St Sunday Crag, along the ridge to Deepdale Hause, where we dropped down to Grisedale Tarn. We walked around the tarn and up onto Seat Sandal, where we enjoyed good views all around, to the Helvellyn ridge to the north and Grasmere to the south and Fairfield in very close proximity. We returned to the tarn and then down Grisedale Beck back to Patterdale." — davidlong • Apr 19, 2009
"Solo. After ascending Helvellyn and Dollywaggon Pike starting from Stanah Cross. From Dollywaggon Pike I descended on the path towards Grisedale Tarn, but then went SW to the col at 574m. Ascended to the summit of Seat Sandal. I met a few people on Seat Sandal. Continued to Fairfield and down to Rydal. Just missed a bus so walked to Ambleside. The day was cold with a little rain. There was a little lying snow on the highest parts with a cornice on the NE face of Helvellyn." — peter43 • Apr 1, 2006
